Cooperation Protocol regarding the Law of the Sea between DEHUKAM and BILOS
Through an exchange of letters, on 24 March 2021, came into force the cooperation agreement between the Ankara University National Center for the Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and the Brazilian Institute for the Law of the Sea (BILOS). The purpose of the agreement is to establish cooperation strategies on their teaching and research activities on Law of the Sea.
Based on the principles of protection of human rights, self-determination of peoples and environmental conservation, conscious that international peace and security, as well as the social and economic interests of States, depend on a healthy marine environment, DEHUKAM and BILOS start to work together in the organization of events, workshops, seminars, training and other initiatives; reciprocal publishing the research carried out by their members; elaboration and execution of educational projects on the Law of the Sea, including graduate courses.
As a first measure taken, in the current regime of cooperation DEHUKAM is officially on the list of partners of BILOS.
